Since 1934, Agnes Scott students have worn the signature black onyx ring as an official symbol of their Scottie status. This distinctive ring signifies not only membership into the Black Ring Sisterhood, but represents many of the qualities associated with Agnes Scott women: feistiness, intelligence, diligence, engagement, and honorable living.

As a part of our larger oral history project, “Agnes Scott Voices,” we would like to document these fascinating alumnae ring stories.
